  • What is the pads' load-bearing capacity?

  • What fire protection class do the pads and cross-spacers fall into?

    Flammability classification as per UL 94 = HB (equivalent to B2) 

  • The paving slab breaks when laid on pads.

    Please contact your paving slab manufacturer to make sure that they can be laid on pads and keep to the manufacturer's recommendations.

  • Can 2 cm ceramic slabs / porcelain stoneware tiles be laid on VARIO pads?

    As the cross-spacers with reverse motion locking (prod. no. 192145 4mm, prod. no. 192152: 6 mm) have a joint bar height of only 15 mm, ceramic slabs and porcelain stoneware tiles with a height of 18-20mm can also be laid on them with no problem.

  • How high can (splittable and stackable) MAXI pads be stacked?

    All (splittable and stackable) MAXI pads can be stacked in any combination up to six-high on top of each other. 
    When stacking half pads please have regard to the compressive strength of the sub-construction .

  • Are paving slab pads made of soft PVC UV-resistant?

    Yes, pads made of soft PVC are UV-resistant. And as most pads are laid underneath slabs they are hardly ever exposed to direct sunlight. 

  • How high can MULTI- and MULTI+PLUS pads be stacked?

    All (splittable and stackable) MULTI pads can be stacked in any combination up to seven-high on top of each other. In order to compensate for a slope, it is also possible here to fit the VARIO (prod. no. 192169) or VARIO MINI (prod. no. 193166) with cross-spacer for reverse motion locking (prod. no. 192145 4mm or prod. no. 192152 6mm). In this case the maximum number is 6x MULTI or MULTI+PLUS and 1 VARIO or VARIO MINI. 

    When stacking half pads please have regard to the compressive strength of the sub-construction .
